MEGHAN and Harry will spend their Christmas break this year in Canada.
It's thought the royal couple are deliberately avoiding the US and trying to stay away from press.
According to the Daily Mail, one friend said: "They have barely set foot outside the door and have been enjoying some quality family time together."
The pair, along with baby Archie are said to be recuperating abroad this Christmas.
'WARMTH OF CANADIAN PEOPLE'
Buckingham Palace tonight confirmed the pair are spending the holidays in Canada, in a statement they said: "The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family.
"They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son."
It's reported that Meghan's mum, Doria has also been visiting them from LA.
Meghan lived in Toronto for seven years while filming Suits, and some of her best friends still live in the country.
He said: "Ho ho ho. Hi guys, everyone at Scotty’s Little Soldiers!
“Hope you are having an amazing time. I hear there is a 190 of you there this year so please cause as much chaos as humanly possible."
The Daily Mail reports that the message was recorded from the couple's Christmas hideout in Canada.
XMAS ABROAD
At the time, Buckingham Palace released a statement saying: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month. Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, their royal highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the duchess’s mother Doria.
"This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen."
And an insider told the Sunday Times: "The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time."
It comes after a very busy few months for the family-of-three, who embarked upon their first tour together, to Africa, in September.
During the trip, Meghan spoke to ITV's Tom Bradby about the pressures of royal life.
"I would say, look, any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging," she said.
“And then when you have a newborn, you know? And especially as a woman, it’s really, it’s a lot.
"So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed, it’s um... yeah.”
They spent Thanksgiving in Meghan's native US, where they enjoyed family time with "close family."
The Duchess has been dogged by rumours that she struggles in the UK away from mum, Doria and it's been runmoured she could give birth to the pair's second child in LA after
The pair are said to be "exhausted" by 2019 after they were dogged with criticism over their use of private jets and "excessive" requests for privacy.
